Sandbox

The fintech regulatory sandbox of CzechInvest is entering its main operational phase. A total of 21 innovative projects have been selected for the program to test new financial services, tools, and unique solutions for the digital economy, and they are now beginning to fully utilize the program’s expert, legal-regulatory, and technical support. The fintech regulatory sandbox represents the first comprehensive initiative by the state aimed at systematically supporting financial innovation. The largest share of submitted projects comes from traditional fintech areas such as payment services, accounting, and investment or crowdfunding platforms. Modern technology trends based on Distributed Ledger Technology are also significantly represented, including cryptocurrencies and blockchain projects focused, for example, on exchanges, NFTs, or ticketing. Individual sectors often overlap, and artificial intelligence frequently plays a major role in them.
