Sweden’s recovery and resilience – Supported projects: Specific projects

The measure references mentioned below are those contained in the Annex to the Council Implementing Decision approving the Recovery and Resilience Plan for Sweden and allow for easy identification of the measures

Railway infrastructure upgrade

(reference 9 in the Swedish Recovery and Resilience Plan)

More than 60 km of Swedish railways were upgraded and 6 switches were replaced on the on the Gävle-Åänge route. The final objective is to increase the railway capacity and allow more persons and enterprises to use railways as a means of transportation. The investment was completed in 2021.
