Description
The European Commission aimed to support the Romanian Public Ministry in its efforts to improve the national legislative framework for the protection of intellectual property rights (IPR) and to strengthen the capacity of public prosecutors involved in investigating and prosecuting IPR infringements.
Funded by DG REFORM, the project was implemented through a consultancy services contract that provided technical assistance for reviewing relevant legislation, drafting proposals for legislative amendments, facilitating stakeholder consultations. The project also facilitated interinstitutional consultations and organized study visits to selected EU Member States to support knowledge transfer and the adoption of good practices.
