Description
This report provides an analysis of the PACE - Public Administration Cooperation Exchange initiative, reviewing 62 post-activity reports from a selection of 37 exchanges aiming at enhancing public administration across EU Member States. Sharing best practices in attracting and retaining qualified professionals was the most frequent objective of these exchanges, followed by improving public procurement processes and staff training. The exchanges facilitated extensive knowledge-sharing, the development of professional networks, and provided inspiration for participants, thereby contributing to the enhancement of public administration in Member States. To further improve future exchanges, suggestions included increasing multi-country exchanges, standardising post-activity reports, and enhancing dissemination efforts.
