Artificial intelligence in Italian financial markets

This project supports Italy’s efforts to promote responsible and safe artificial intelligence (AI) adoption across the whole financial markets value chain. The European Commission developed a project – financed under the Technical support instrument (TSI) – with the support of the OECD partnering with Banca d’Italia (beneficiary authority), and in cooperation with other Italian financial supervisory authorities, to assess current AI deployment in the Italian financial sector, understand potential impediments to the wider safe adoption of AI, and develop policy considerations to promote safe and responsible AI innovation,  supporting Italian and EU competitiveness.
