With over EUR 27.5 million, the Recovery and Resilience Facility supports the establishment of 18 youth centres in Bulgaria.
The project "Construction of a youth center - Pomorie" is funded with BGN 1.8 million from the RRP.
The project envisages the creation and sustainable development of a modern youth center in the city of Pomorie, which will become an accelerator of the local transformation towards jobs for the next generation through the education and building of engaged, empowered and connected young people - ready to unleash their full potential through personal development, digital adaptation and increased ability to actively participate in the labor market.
The modern, multifunctional future centre will offer a wide range of youth activities on the territory of the municipality, addressing their problems and needs, improving their personal development and their suitability for employment, in line with contemporary trends in Europe and Bulgaria.
The youth centre will strive to provide a variety of activities (including international) and comprehensive services to young people aged between 13 and 29.
450 students and young people will be covered by the activities in the youth center; 120 students/young people will undergo training to acquire or improve their digital skills (proved with a certificate after a test). At least 20% of the participants in the activities and clubs will be representatives of vulnerable groups, incl. Roma.
The project is expected to be completed by 30 June 2026.
