With over EUR 27.5 million, the Recovery and Resilience Facility supports the establishment of 18 youth centres in Bulgaria.
The project "Construction of a youth center in Petrich" is funded with BGN 1.8 million from the RRP.
The vision for the strategic development of the center envisages that it will become a key hub of the next generation and an engine for the local transition to workplaces of the future, adapted to market and economic transformations.
It will help young people to develop their full potential in terms of personal development, digital skills and increased employability.
The youth centre will strive to provide a variety of activities (including international) and comprehensive services to young people (13-29 years old).
450 students and young people will be covered by the activities in the youth center; 120 students/young people will undergo training to acquire or improve their digital skills (proved with a certificate after a test).
At least 20% of the participants in the activities and clubs will be representatives of vulnerable groups, incl. Roma.
The project is expected to be completed by 30 June 2026.
