Youth centre - Botevgrad

  • Project

With over EUR 27.5 million, the Recovery and Resilience Facility supports the establishment of 18 youth centres in Bulgaria.

The project "Construction of a youth center in Botevgrad" is funded with BGN 1.8 million from the RRP.

It will support the development and implementation of sustainable youth policies at the local level, and help make the municipality of Botevgrad an attractive place for young people.

The Youth Center will develop its own operational capacity for providing a variety of activities and services aimed at attracting and activating young people with an emphasis on those from vulnerable social groups, including and Roma, and will add value to the efforts made so far in this direction.

The project is developed in cooperation with an active local youth organisation - "Youth Movement for the Development of Rural Areas in Bulgaria", which will be a partner of the municipality in the process of implementing the project.

The main target group of the project are young people from the Botevgrad municipality aged between 13 and 29, incl. and from vulnerable groups (including Roma).

The planned activities of the project will cover a minimum of 450 young people, at least 20% of whom will be representatives of vulnerable groups.

The project is expected to be completed by 30 June 2026.
