Water supply system Dole - Drinking water supply and savings projects

The aim of the project is a hydraulic improvement of the existing dilapitated waterworks system to ensure the settlements of Gorenje Jelenje, Spodnje Jelenje, Jelenska Reber, Kal pri Dolah a reliable water supply. The municipality will also protect water resources and build a missing water supply system in the extended settlement area.

The investment will create a new Zagozd drainage site, a new Dobovica aquifer and new Prelesje aquifer. The existing Gorenje Jelenje aquifer will be rehabilitated and partially reconstructed. The following will also be implemented: laying a new transport supply line from the existing Gorenje Jelenje water supply to the new catchment area, laying a new pressure line from the new water pumping point to the new Dobovica and Prelesje aquifers, the installation of new supply lines and connection to existing local water supply networks.

The Recovery and Resilience Facility provides funding of EUR 363,528, while the total value of the investment is EUR 2.7 million. 

The project started in 2023 and will be finalised in 2024.
