The desalination plant, which will be located in Albufeira, will offer a capacity to convert seawater into drinking water of 16 hectometers (millions of cubic meters), in an initial phase. However, as indicated by Águas do Algarve, the work is developed taking into account the need to increase its capacity to 24 hectometers per year.
