Germany is providing financial assistance to selected projects from the automotive industry that promote the sector's green and digital transition.
The investment was conducted via four funding calls corresponding to one of three modules: i) the modernisation of production through the development of digital and energy efficient production processes; ii) the development of new automotive technologies, such as automated driving, innovative powertrains and light building in vehicle technologies; and iii) the support of regional innvation clusters, focussing on technology transfer, climate friendy propulsion and the moderinsation of the supply industry.
Under the first two modules alone, 1,533 projects have been funded, receiving EUR 1,141 Mio.
The implementation of the measure will be completed by 31 August 2026.
