Two mental health care units in Madeira

Madeira needs more residential spaces for Integrated Continued Mental Health Care, particularly Autonomy Training Residences.

The Lucena Unit  will remodel part of a building to create a modern, accessible residence for 15 users, offering multidisciplinary medical, psychological, and social support in compliance with national standards.

The Elvira Unit will share facilities such as the kitchen with Lucena and operate with a coordinated care team to ensure continuous, personalised mental health support.

Both are promoted by the S. João de Deus Institute in Funchal and receive RRP funding of EUR 299 250.
