Transmission networks and smart power infrastructure

The investment contributes to accelerating the energy transition toward clean energy by enabling faster integration of new renewable energy installations into the grid. This includes adapting infrastructure to accommodate newly built renewable sources, supporting the development of offshore wind farms, and increasing grid connection capacity for future renewable projects.

As part of investment G1.2.3, PSE S.A. is implementing the following projects in the Pomeranian Voivodeship:

1. Construction of the Choczewo substation

2. Modernization of the Słupsk AC/DC converter station

3. Expansion and modernization of the 400/110 kV Żarnowiec substation

4. Construction of the 400 kV Choczewo–Żarnowiec line

The construction of the Choczewo–Żarnowiec line and the development and expansion of the Choczewo and Żarnowiec substations will enable the connection of offshore wind farms to the National Power System (KSE), allowing wind energy to be delivered to consumers across the country.
