Support to vulnerable persons and prevention of institutionalisation (Mission 5, Component 2, Investment 1)
The Italy's Recovery and Resilience Plan contributes through this measure to support vulnerable persons and prevent institutionalisation.
The investment will include the following interventions: (I) support parenting skills and prevent vulnerability of families and children; (II) support independent living and deinstitutionalisation of the elderly; (II) strengthen home-based social services to ensure early discharge and prevent hospitalisation; (III) strengthen social services and prevent burnout of social workers.
As part of this investment, the project aim is to innovate the practices of intervention towards the so-called "negligent" families, in order to reduce the risk of abuse and the consequent removal of children from the family unit.
For families under the age of 17.
It includes the promotion of the school-services-family partnership, the implementation of the home educational service, the organization of children-parents groups to stimulate dialogue and mutual help.
It is planned to take charge of 30 families.
