
The aim of the pilot project carried out by the Faculty of Energetics of the University of Maribor is to involve all stakeholders, higher education staff, students, professional and interest associations, the local environment, employers' representatives and alumni in the process of redesigning and modernising the curriculum of the higher education Energy Studies programme in order to facilitate the implementation of the green transition objectives.
The goal of the project is to update the learning content and teaching methods of key learning units and to describe the expected key knowledge and skills supported by the expected learning outcomes for a sustainable green transition.
The activities of the pilot project will include:
- Review of the teaching content of the compulsory and optional units of the existing curriculum of the higher education Programme in Energy;
- A review with external stakeholders of the skills expected in the labour market in each of the key areas for a successful green transition;
- Update of the learning content and teaching methods of the key learning units, outlining the expected key knowledge and skills supported by the expected learning outcomes for a sustainable green transition;
- Implementation of the learning units with the target groups, evaluation of the achievement of the learning outcomes;
- Introducing a system of rapid updates of learning units in the quality system and;
- Development of guidelines and draft proposal for curriculum changes for a successful green transition.
The Recovery and Resilience Facility provides funding of EUR 752,486, while the total value of the investment is EUR 798,448.
The project started in September 2022 and will be finalised by August 2025.
