Reinicia Auto+ programme for vehicle replacement after DANA floods in Valencia.

Project

The Reinicia Auto+ programme aims to support individuals, businesses and organisations affected by the DANA floods of late 2024 by providing financial assistance for the replacement of damaged vehicles. At the same time, it promotes the modernisation and decarbonisation of the vehicle fleet by incentivising the purchase of low-emission vehicles.

The programme includes two main components: (i) the CERO section, financed under the Recovery and Resilience Facility with EUR 63.7 million, supporting the acquisition of zero-emission vehicles such as electric and hydrogen-powered vehicles; and (ii) the ECO/C section, funded through national resources, supporting lower-emission vehicles including hybrids and Euro 6 combustion vehicles.

With a total budget of EUR 465 million, the programme is currently under implementation, with thousands of applications already processed. It contributes to post-disaster recovery, supports the automotive sector and accelerates the transition towards more sustainable mobility in Spain.
