The objective of the investment is to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities by modernizing and equipping the day center in Bulevardul Iuliu Maniu, sector 6.
Using non-refundable EU funding through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, the center will now offer diverse services, including a small tailoring workshop aimed at empowering and preparing people with disabilities for the labor market.
Renovation and furnishing are complete, and equipment is being acquired.
The center will be equipped with tools for occupational therapy and ergotherapy, such as:
- An interactive projection wall for sensory stimulation,
- Interactive motor stimulation and rehabilitation panels,
- A Neurofeedback system for cognitive therapy,
- A reclining vibroacoustic chair for tactile and proprioceptive stimulation.
The project supports motor and manual rehabilitation, development of independent living skills, and social integration, while also aiming to prevent institutionalization.
