Mission 4 – Component 1 - Investment 1.1: Plan for nurseries and preschools and early childhood education and care services
Italy’s Recovery and Resilience Plan includes an investment plan for the 0-6 age group, aimed at increasing the supply of childcare facilities by building, renovating and ensuring the safety of nurseries and preschools, to ensure an increase in the educational offer and the available slots for the 0-6 age group, and thus improve teaching quality.
The measure is expected to encourage women’s participation in the labour market and support caregivers in reconciling family and professional life.
The investment is financed by Italy’s Recovery and Resilience plan by EUR 3.2 billion.
As part of this investment, the project involves the construction of a school center for early childhood and kindergarten, through the conversion and extension of the existing rustic Viale E.
Spensieri.
The design of the structure as a whole was carried out considering 4 overall sections, divided into 3 sections for early childhood and a nest.
The conversion into a school complex for a total of 4 sections provides for an extension of the structure to the south-west through the construction of a body from the L-shaped structure with
reinforced concrete and the construction of a metal emergency staircase on the north side.
The new structure will be joined to the existing one.
In the space in front, to protect the entrance to the structure, a metal structure shelter is planned.
