The purpose of the investment is to upgrade wine tourism on a regional and national level and to enable accommodation in the town of Gornja Radgon, which is almost non-existent. The investment aims to bring guests to Gornja Radgona who will not be just one-day guests, but guests who will spend several days exploring our beautiful Pomurje and Štajerska regions, cycling, visiting Radgona for the fair or for business reasons, cross the border to Austria. In addition to additional jobs, the investment will also contribute to the development of infrastructure and an authentic offer with high added value.
The boutique huesthouse will have 13 accommodation units named according to the best wine-growing location and the varieties they produce in the area. The accomodations will reflect the rich sparkling-wine activity since 1852 and the unique location in the oldest historical part of the town of Gornja Radgona, in the Mura biosphere area, at the intersection of Pomurje and Štajerska, Slovenia and Austria.
The Recovery and Resilience Facility provides funding of EUR 563,316, while the total value of the investment is EUR 3 million.
The project started in December 2022 and will be finalised by May 2026.
