The project aims to provide 186 new public rental apartments in the Podbreznik neighbourhood of Novo mesto, one of the largest public housing projects in the Dolenjska region.
The Podbreznik neighbourhood consists of a series of apartment blocks with a common underground floor and associated external amenities. The flats are on five above-ground floors and have a parking space.
The apartments are one-bedroom, two-bedroom, three-bedroom and four-bedroom, ranging in size from 38 to 80 m2. Each apartment has a storage room and an outdoor balcony. The bicycle storage and service rooms are located in the basement. The blocks are connected by a two-level exterior landscaping, children's playgrounds and planting. The project includes 10% of the flats adapted for the disabled or physically handicapped.
The Recovery and Resilience Facility contributes EUR 600,000 to the investment worth EUR 20 million in total. The project started in April 2023 and was finalised in March 2025.
