This reform aims to improve the provision of services by Pôle Emploi, the main public employment service. The goal is to facilitate the rapid return to employment of jobseekers, and to increase the support to the most vulnerable workers facing multiple barriers to employment. The aim is also to enhance the training offer and the service to businesses with the view to address labour and skills shortages. In the context of its Recovery and Resilience Plan, France committed to integrate a compensation counsellor and a Cap’Emploi service attending the needs of persons with disabilities in at least 700 agencies by the end of 2022, which it has implemented.
