The Recovery and Resilience Facility provides EUR 142 million to support Bulgaria’s research and innovation performance, technology transfer and information-sharing.
The investment consists in providing financial support to projects by small and medium-sized enterprises and higher education/research institutions, as well as to innovation programmes by higher education institutions.
The investment foresees the financing of 12 projects by Bulgarian small and medium-sized enterprises which have been awarded the quality label "Seal of Excellence" under Horizon Europe, as well as funding for innovation programmes by ten research higher education institutions in Bulgaria.
The implementation of this investment is expected to be completed by 30 June 2026.
