Post-earthquake reconstruction of the University Hospital for Infectious Deseases

The project involved upgrading and expanding the Infectious Diseases Clinic “Dr. Fran Mihaljević” with new pharmacy and autopsy facilities built to modern European standards. The €10.1 million investment, supported by EU and national funding, restored earthquake-damaged infrastructure and improved laboratory, medical, and waste-management capacities. The clinic was modernized while strengthening its role as a leading infectious disease centre in the region.
