Petrič Ajdovščina - Sheet Metal Cutting Line

  • Project

The aim of the project is to expand the capacity of the existing production facility by introducing advanced laser technology for sheet metal cutting, which includes an automated line with a laser cutter and a loading system. This will enable the company to increase productivity, reduce reliance on manual labor, improve precision, and reduce waste and resource consumption. The new technology enables a 70% energy savings, 17.9% better material utilization, and a reduction in harmful gas emissions, as it does not use CO₂ laser technology. The project contributes to sustainable development, the circular economy, water resource protection, and climate change adaptation, while the company ensures a closed financial structure and demonstrates environmentally responsible business practices.

The project’s objectives are focused on increasing production efficiency and reducing costs. Productivity will improve by raising value added per employee from €53,645 to €59,444, representing a 10.8% increase. Material efficiency will increase by reducing material consumption per unit from 0.04286 m² to 0.03516 m², representing a 17.9% savings. Energy efficiency will improve by reducing energy consumption per unit from 1.7 kWh to 0.5 kWh, representing a 70% savings in electricity costs.
