The objective of the project is to create a new kindergarten, designed with respect for environmental sustainability and energy efficiency, that is technologically innovative and closely connected to the utilization of alternative and renewable sources. The building will be constructed using durable materials that require minimal maintenance to minimize maintenance cycles and associated operating costs.
In terms of construction, the new kindergarten will be built with a reinforced concrete load-bearing structure on the ground floor and, on the first floor, a load-bearing structure consisting of fully prefabricated wooden frame walls with an insulating layer in between. This is a lightweight and flexible system that allows for the optimization and reduction of the dimensions of the building components, resulting in a decreased wall thickness without compromising the thermal and structural performance of the building.
The cost of the project is financed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan with EUR 2.3 million.
The construction works began in the summer of 2023 and are proceeding according to the schedule outlined in the RRF.
