Plan for nurseries and preschools and early childhood education and care services (Mission 4 – Component 1 - Investment 1.1)
Italy’s Recovery and Resilience Plan includes an investment plan for the 0-6 age group, aimed at increasing the supply of childcare facilities by building, renovating and ensuring the safety of nurseries and preschools, to ensure an increase in the educational offer and the available slots for the 0-6 age group, and thus improve teaching quality. The measure is expected to encourage women’s participation in the labour market and support caregivers in reconciling family and professional life.
The investment is financed by Italy’s Recovery and Resilience plan by EUR 3.2 billion.
As part of this investment, the project aims at creating the new kindergarten (Villanova) in Modena. The intervention concerns the construction of a kindergarten consisting of three sections, creating room for a total of 75 more pupils, to complete the existing school complex. The project is financed by Italy’s Recovery and Resilience plan by EUR 2.4 million.
