The project investigates neuromuscular mechanisms of motor learning in an immersive virtual reality environment, with a particular focus on disease states and motor inactivity.

Scientists are studying the transfer of acquired motor skills from virtual reality to the real environment and their effect on functional recovery.

The aim is to improve rehabilitation approaches and deepen the understanding of neuroplasticity using advanced technologies.

The Recovery and Resilience Facility contributes EUR 267,000, the total value of the investment. The project started in June 2023 and should be finalised by June 2026.
