"Prolamvano" is a national public health prevention programme designed to cover nearly the entire population of Greece. It ensures that all eligible individuals have access to life-saving preventive care, contributing to early diagnosis and better health outcomes.
The programme provides free, easy, and quick access to preventive diagnostic screenings for breast cancer, cervical cancer, colorectal cancer, and cardiovascular risk.
Breast Cancer Prevention
The programme is aimed at 1.8 million women aged 45–74 who reside in Greece and have a Social Security Number (ΑΜΚΑ).
The free screenings included in the programme are:
- Digital Mammography
- Ultrasound (in case of findings or the need for further tests)
- Clinical Examination (in case of abnormal findings)
