The goal of this investment, supported by EUR 60 million from the Croatian Recovery and Resilience Plan, is to modernise the tram fleet in Osijek and Zagreb, in order to provide a better quality and faster public transport service and increase the number of passengers using public transport, which will ultimately result in a reduction of CO2 emissions in traffic. The investment includes the modernisation of tram traffic through the procurement of at least 30 modern low-floor/semi-low-floor trams in the cities of Osijek and Zagreb. The grant agreement for the financing of 20 trams in Zagreb, amounting to EUR 40 million, was signed in December 2022 and the grant agreement for the financing of 10 trams in Osijek, amounting to EUR 20 million, was signed in February 2023.
