Modernisation of the educational environment in "Exarch Antim I" Primary School - Plovdiv

The project, financed with EUR 2,3 million from the Recovery and Resilience Facility, is aimed at the modernisation of the educational infrastructure of the Primary School “Ekzarh Antim I”, City of Plovdiv, by carrying out interventions for: overall repair, reconstruction, remodeling, extension and introduction of EE measures, incl. provision of accessible environment and conditions, to achieve a completely renewed appearance and ambience of the institution which provides education to 509 kids.

The above will be implemented through a set of correlated interventions incl.:

  1. Implementation of EE measures in the building of Primary School “Ekzarh Antim I” to achieve Class A energy efficiency, acc. Art. 48 of Energy Efficiency Act, incl. building a power plant for own consumption;
  2. Ensuring the accessibility of the environment, in accordance with the requirements of Ordinance No. RD-02-20-2 /26.01.2021, incl. through extension, in order to improve the access, conditions and environment for people with disabilities to and in the building of the institution covered in the project;
  3. Achieving the set requirements and standards defined in Ordinance No. 24 of 2020, including: by restructuring the communication areas, separating areas through use of different colors, etc.;
  4. Carrying out interventions for repairing and renovating the building of Primary School “Ekzarh Antim I”, Plovdiv.

All planned activities are in accordance with the principle of “do no significant harm”, with the Technical guidance of Reg. of RRF and the applicable norms of the Spatial Development Act, the EEA, Ordinances No. 24/10.09.2020 and No. RD-02-20-2/26.01.2021, incl. relevant legislation, with aim to achieve a renewed appearance of Primary School “Ekzarh Antim I”- Plovdiv to ensure conditions for quality, modern education and increase the motivation for learning, self-training and improving the educational results of children and students.
