MB92 Barcelona, a repair and maintenance shipyard installed in the Port of Barcelona

MB92 Barcelona is the leading shipyard of one of the winning consortia of six NextGenerationEU funds projects of the PERTE NAVAL, of which four research and development consortia with other companies in the naval sector and two own investment companies.

On the one hand, a circular economy project that includes the acquisition of machinery for the recycling of plastic, implementing a system of cleaning by friction, compaction and shredding of contaminated plastic waste from the shipyard's ship painting works.

On the other hand, the energy transition project includes the implementation of fully electric aerothermal systems that avoid the use of fossil fuels for heating the painting areas.
