The objective of the measure is to facilitate the mass roll-out of smart meters in Cyprus.
The investment consists in the delivery of 400,000 smart meters to the Cyprus Electricity Authority and the installation of 200,000 of these.
By mid April 2026, the target for the delivery of 400,000 smart meters was achieved and 278,000 were installed, exceeding the target set in the RRF.
RRF funding for the project amounts to EUR 35 mil.
The implementation of the investment was completed in June 2026.
