The project will ensure the collection and treatment of wastewater.
Eleven sewer lines with a total length of 3,360 meters and a pipe diameter of 200 mm will be constructed, with connections to the existing sewer network and, via that network, to the Maribor Central Wastewater Treatment Plant. It is planned that 120 properties will be connected to the new sewer system and 48 properties to the new storm sewer system. With the planned replacement of the worn-out water main, no new connections are planned; however, improved water supply and reduced losses due to the worn-out pipeline are expected. The system will be constructed in such a way that it will not require additional energy consumption — it will be energy-neutral, as all channels will be gravity-fed. The channels will connect to the existing public sewer network and, through it, to the central wastewater treatment plant.
