The project, PORȚI DESCHISE SPRE CULTURĂ, which received EUR 40,419.55 without VAT, addresses culturally disadvantaged areas, but with a significant potential for development: Galații Bistriței and Rodna (Bistrița Năsăud county) aiming to use culture / creativity as a means of education and factors of sustainable development.

A pilot program of education through culture and cultural intervention will be implemented to capitalize on scientifically inventoried local cultural/natural resources, to contribute to the development of key/specific skills among community members and to stimulate their desire to participate in cultural/social/economic life, through an inclusive approach with a high degree of transferability.

The approach will be realized through: artistic / creative / managerial skills workshops, complex cultural events unique to the 2 communities and concrete cultural intervention actions, with concrete results - best practice guide-book, local intervention plan and documentary film - and with impact on sustainable cultural development.
