
School building security and structural rehabilitation plan (Mission 4 – Component 1 - Investment 3.3)
Italy’s Recovery and Resilience Plan contributes to climate recovery also by enhancing school buildings’ safety and energy consumption.
In particular, this measure aims to contribute to the improvement of energy classes and leading to lower consumption and CO2 emissions as well as to increase structural safety of buildings.
Particular attention is paid to the most disadvantaged areas with the aim of tackling and eliminating economic and social imbalances.
The investment is financed by Italy’s Recovery and Resilience plan by EUR 4.4 billion.
The project consisting in structural interventions is part of this investment.
At the institute "IIS SANTORRE DI SANTAROSA" in Turin was found the need to proceed with the following work: seismic improvement, after verification of seismic vulnerability; structural consolidation and seismic adjustment of the entire school complex; adaptation to the regulations on energy efficiency, through the creation of new and existing roofing layer; elimination of risks of falling elements from above, mendiate installation of networks and false ceilings certified anti-melting; elimination of risks of falling from above, by installing fall prevention systems on the roofs of the entire school complex (life lines and anchorages).
Finally, all the construction and plant works necessary for the realization of each single intervention are contemplated to give the complete work according to the good norm and the rule of art.
