Italy’s Recovery and Resilience Plan contributes to climate recovery also by enhancing school buildings’ safety and energy consumption.
In particular, this measure aims to contribute to the improvement of energy classes and leading to lower consumption and CO2 emissions as well as to increase structural safety of buildings.
Particular attention is paid to the most disadvantaged areas with the aim of tackling and eliminating economic and social imbalances.
The investment is financed by Italy’s Recovery and Resilience plan by EUR 4.4 billion.
The project consisting in fire control measures is part of this investment.
The branch of the "Plana" Institute of Turin is located on the block where the headquarters is located, between Piazza Robilant and Via Chiomonte.
The building is spread over four floors, of which three above ground and one basement.
In the basement there are three rooms of large area intended for laboratory, as well as storage and toilets.
On the mezzanine floor there is a huge workshop, the entrance hall and services.
On each upper floor, the first and second, we find two large and two small classrooms, in addition to the usual services and changing rooms.
In the basement in a dedicated technical room there are two electricity delivery points (fm system and light system) and the general picture of the entire school complex (divided into "FM Section" and "Light Section").
Regulatory and functional adjustments are foreseen, useful for obtaining the ICC.
