Health centre of S. Cosme, in Gondomar

The Portuguese RRP is financing a major investment to qualify and expand community mental health services. This includes the construction of new facilities, such as the Community Mental Health Unit in Gondomar (financed with EUR 2.2 million from the RRP) , and the creation of dedicated mental health areas in general hospitals. The initiative aims to modernise and decentralise mental health care, increase the number of community teams and care beds, and integrate mental health services across primary care and community structures, ensuring better access and quality of care for all citizens.
