The project aims to gradually transform the Municipality of Chania into a ‘Smart City’ through the development of new infrastructure, digital platforms and IT systems.
The smart city solutions shall enable the use of technology, information and open data to improve city infrastructure and e-services, with the ultimate goal of improving citizens’ quality of life, promoting sustainability, and boosting the city’s competitiveness.
The project includes Smart City actions in the sectors of:
- Health
- Welfare
- Environment
- Sustainable Mobility
- e-Governance
The total budget amounts to €2,970,000, of which €2,395,161 is financed through the RRF contribution.
