The project aims to develop a new agro-food industrial plant in the Port of Barcelona dedicated to the processing of plant-based proteins, contributing to the sustainability and competitiveness of the agro-food sector. The facility integrates an innovative, hydrocarbon-free industrial process designed to produce clean label products for human consumption.
The investment is supported by EUR 300,000 under the PERTE Agroalimentario within the Recovery and Resilience Facility, specifically targeting environmental protection and the sustainability of industrial processes.
The project is currently in the construction phase, following the laying of the first stone in 2026. Once operational, the plant is expected to strengthen Barcelona’s position as a European agro-food hub and contribute to industrial modernisation and sustainable growth in the sector.
