The objective of the measure is to digitalise key workflows in ministries and central government services, to improve efficiency in the delivery of government services, simplify compliance with government regulations, strengthen citizen participation and trust in government, and yield cost savings.
The project aims to digitalise services and procedures in five central government services:
- the Road Transport Department of the Ministry of Transport, Communication and Works,
- the Deputy Ministry of Shipping,
- the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
- the Directorate General Growth
- the Department of Town Planning and Housing of the Ministry of Interior (for Architectural Heritage).
Through the project, Cyprus has already developed a repository system for monitoring the implementation of the Cypriot RRP, under the responsibility of the Directorate General Growth. Furthermore, the digitalisation of all selected services and prodecures has been completed.
