The goal of the investment is to develop a new product: the e-CAT electric catamaran. The vessel will include an automatized trailer and a service app that will allow monitoring and fixing issues.
The practical outputs of the research project will be to generate, transmit, store, distribute and use renewable energy to power an operational, seaworthy vessel and additionally develop a digital twin of the electric catamaran.
The Recovery and Resilience Facility is providing funding of EUR 999,218.72, while the total value of the investment is EUR 2,751,269.66.
The project, led by the company ROTO started in February 2023 and will be finalized by January 2026.
