Investment in soft mobility (National Plan of Cycle Path) (Mission 2 – Component 2:  Investment 4.1)

Italy’s Recovery and Resilience Plan provides for the construction of at least 565 km of cycling lanes in metropolitan areas and at least 746 km of tourist cycle paths. Cycle paths shall facilitate first-mile and last-mile commuting – connecting locations in metropolitan areas to nearby railway or metro nodes, or universities to nearby railway or metro nodes. For this investment, the RRP provides EUR 467 million at the national level.

As part of this investment, The new via S. Croce cycle path connects Piazza Fiera in Corso 3 November, with an overall length of approximately 400 metres.
The intervention is divided into two sections. The first section, to the north from Piazza Fiera to the service centre Santa Chiara, and the second section to the south from the Santa Chiara Service Centre until the crossing with Corso 3 November. This project is financed by the Recovery and Resiliency fund with EUR 128.195
