The investment aims to strengthen cyber capabilities of SMEs and self-employed, combat cyber criminality and phishing, introduce a global cybersecurity governance framework within the Foreign Affairs department and offer cyber resilience services to the Belgian public, with EUR 52.13 million grant support from the Recovery and Resilience Facility.
In April 2024, a first cybersecurity awareness campaign targeted at SMEs and self-employed and the global cybersecurity governance framework had been delivered.
The implementation of the investment shall be completed by 30 June 2026.
