School 4.0: innovative schools, wiring, new classrooms and workshops (Mission 4 – Component 1 - Investment 3.2)
Italy’s Recovery and Resilience Plan provides for updating school facilities into adaptable, flexible and digital learning environments, with technologically advanced workshops and a work-based learning process.
This measure accelerates the digital transition of the Italian school system with four initiatives:
- Transformation of around 100 000 traditional classes into connected learning environments, with the introduction of related educational devices
- Creation of workshops for digital professions in the second cycle
- Digitalization of school administrations - Interior wiring cabling of approximately 40 000 school buildings and related devices.
The investment is financed by Italy’s Recovery and Resilience plan by EUR 2.1 billion.
As part of this investment, the project "Cambiare per innovare" aims at creating learning environments that allow to experiment and implement new collaborative and innovative teaching methodologies.
The Istituto Omnicomprensivo "Raffaele Capriglione" of S. Croce di Magliano includes: the former Istituto di Istruzione Superiore di Santa Croce di Magliano the former Istituto Comprensivo "Michele Del Gatto" of S. Croce di Magliano the schools of Santa Croce di Magliano and Rotello ex'Istituto Comprensivo "Jovine" comprising the plexuses of Bonefro, Colletorto and S. Giuliano di Puglia.
The Liceo Scientifico "R. Capriglione" of Santa Croce di Magliano is structured, therefore, as follows: first two years, second two years and fifth year characterized by a course "Liceo scientifico" and a course "Liceo scientifico: opzione scienze applicate".
All plexuses are equipped with internet connection, but in the peripheral plexuses the quality of the connection does not satisfy all users.
Local authorities must be involved in strengthening the incoming signal.
Most of the complexes are equipped with computers and interactive whiteboards, remain to equip the complexes of kindergarten and primary school of Rotello and Santa Croce di Magliano.
The completion of the technological endowment, especially in the first cycle is the prerequisite to be able to experience an innovative and shared teaching.
With this project we will try to create learning environments that allow to experiment and implement new collaborative and innovative teaching methodologies.
The Mission of the Istituto Omnicomprensivo is to encourage the integration of young men and women into the contemporary cosmopolitan society, making them capable of living in a world in continuous transformation.
To accompany students in important educational challenges, choosing the enhancement of the person as a necessary way to awaken the wonder, the desire for beauty and the gratitude with which we look at life.
This project is financed by the NRRP by EUR 170.352.
