Paths to autonomy for people with disabilities (Mission 5 – Component 2, Investment 1.2)
Italy's Recovery and Resilience Plan supports pathways towards the autonomy of people with disabilities, providing resources to build or renovate housing solutions that promote independent living, cohousing and community-based welfare. The goal is to enable people with disabilities to live as independently as possible within their communities.
The investment is financed by Italy's Recovery and Resilience plan.
This project created a cohousing facility in Treviso that is more than a building: it is the result of a shared vision and commitment between municipalities, the local health authority (ULSS) and the third sector. The project translates the administrative complexity of the Plan into a concrete experience of community welfare, creating a place for life, relationships and autonomy.
