Caffe Aktywni by The Sensitive World Foundation

Project

The Sensitive World Foundation is a social enterprise that has supported people with intellectual disabilities, seniors, and the local community since 2013 through integration, educational, and activation projects. It runs the social café Caffe Aktywni, providing employment and development opportunities for people at risk of exclusion, as well as serving as a local hub for events, workshops, and meetings. The foundation implements numerous municipal and EU projects, fostering intergenerational cooperation and building a community-oriented environment in Gdańsk.

As part of the KPO project, the foundation focused on developing the Caffe Aktywni café and significantly expanding its catering services, which proved crucial for further growth. The funding enabled modernization of the premises, purchase of specialized equipment, a delivery vehicle, and software adapted for people with disabilities, as well as strengthening the team with new employees. The project aimed to increase production capacity, professionalize services, and ensure stable growth of the social enterprise on a larger scale, while maintaining principles of sustainability, equality, and efficiency.
