- The objective of the measure is to mitigate the negative effects on human health, the environment, cultural sites and income from flooding events through managing flood risk.
- In Livadia, the Municipality of Larnaca shall upgrade and embellish flood channels, through improvements to the riverbed and riverbanks.
- Completion of construction works for the flood channel with a total capacity of approx. 30 000 m3 in Livadia is underway and expected to be completed without delays. The project is in the stage of footing, and construction of the pebble wall.
- The Recovery and Resilience Facility provides funding of EUR 3 million for the project.
- The entire project is expected to be concluded by the end of 2025.
