Air traffic control centre (ENAIRE) in Madrid

Project

ENAIRE, national air navigation manager attached to the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, currently manages 107 million euros of grants awarded for projects in three main fields: digitalization, operational safety through technological modernization, and sustainability.

NextGenerationEU funds support the development of the Single European Sky (Single European Sky), through the Spanish aerospace strategic project (PERTE aerospace) of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR).

ENAIRE manages a total of 31 projects that are part of investment 2 of component 6 (milestones 90 and 93) of Spain’s Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan financed with NextGenerationEU funds.

The investments supported in the Madrid Control Centre are part of the ENAIRE project ‘Actions for the Development of the Single European Sky’, the ACT04 action of the PERTE Aeroespacial.

From the ENAIRE Air Control Centre in Madrid, air navigation services are managed in a space of over 435,000 square kilometres, comprising the autonomous communities of Galicia, the Principality of Asturias, Cantabria, the Basque Country, Navarre, Castile and Leon, La Rioja and Madrid, as well as part of Castilla-La Mancha, Extremadura and Aragon, as well as the maritime area of the Cantabrian Sea and the Galician Atlantic coast.
