Aid for purchase of vehicles (battery trolleybuses and low-floor tramways) for public transport in the city of Prague

During their first year of regular operation, the first twenty trams covered more than 300,000 kilometers and transported over three million passengers. Modern trams contribute to increasing the capacity and reliability of urban transport. A significant role in the transition to cleaner forms of transport is also played by high-capacity articulated trolleybuses Škoda–Solaris 24M, which operate on line 59 between Nádraží Veleslavín and Letiště Václava Havla Praha. Last year, a fleet of twenty of these vehicles traveled nearly one and a half million kilometers and carried around five and a half million passengers. The transition from the original bus service to electric traction resulted in significant savings—specifically 742,000 liters of diesel—and reduced carbon dioxide emissions by 1,990 tonnes.
