AH2HUB project for hydrogen-powered heavy-duty vehicles in Seville

Project

The AH2HUB project aims to develop and deploy a new generation of hydrogen-powered medium and heavy-duty vehicles in Seville, contributing to the decarbonisation of the transport and logistics sectors. The project includes the development of hydrogen fuel cell buses and a tractor unit designed for use in logistics environments such as ports, airports and distribution centres.

The initiative is supported with EUR 25.24 million under the Recovery and Resilience Facility and is part of the IPCEI Hy2Move programme, which promotes innovation and industrial deployment of hydrogen-based mobility technologies across Europe.

The project is currently in the demonstration and early deployment phase, with prototypes such as the H2 TRACTOR already presented. It is expected to enhance sustainable mobility solutions, reduce emissions in heavy transport and strengthen Spain’s role in the European hydrogen mobility ecosystem.
